The Houston Passport Agency attends to travelers who are booked to travel or submitting their passports for foreign visas, within 14 days or 28 days, respectively. The first step to apply at a passport agency is to schedule an appointment through an automated service. This may require you to call many times, especially during peak travel season.
After you make the appointment, you need to travel to the agency location where you will be attended to. Once again, depending on the time of year, you may find yourself waiting in long, crowded lines to get your passport. Be sure to arrive at the passport agency 10 to 15 minutes before you appointment. Arriving late may result in the cancellation of your appointment.
If you are unable to schedule an appointment at the regional agency, or if you don't want to spend precious time in potentially long lines, you may employ the services of an experienced passport expediter.
